<abstract>The 2016 Allen County Digital Orthoimagery Project - In the Spring of 2016, Allen County obtained new orthoimagery covering the entire county (+/- 407 sq. miles). Products produced were 4-band, 8-bit orthophotos with a 0.5-foot ground sample distance (GSD). The aerial imagery was collected during leaf-off conditions at a minimum resolution of 6-inch resolution. The orthos are delivered as a countywide dataset, consisting of 2,500' x 2,500' uncompressed 8-bit, 4-band color GeoTIFF files. Horizontal accuracy is based upon NMAS Standards for 1"=100' scale base mapping. Along the perimeter of the project area, ortho-imagery is buffered at 100-feet. Imagery was collected with Leica ADS80 digital cameras and rectified using LiDAR data. The file naming convention is as follows: anxxxyyy (Ohio North Zone); Please note that xxx and yyy represent the easting and northing coordinates (respectively) in state plane feet. Each GeoTIFF ortho file is approximately 100 megabytes in size. Additional deliverables include countywide Multi resolution Seamless Image Database - MrSID (RGB - 20x and 100x; CIR - 20x and 100x), City of Lima and Townships MrSIDs (RGB and CIR) at a 20:1 compression ratio, and tile index provided as ESRI shapefile.</abstract>
<purpose>The County has a goal to develop and/or update their existing orthoimagery and LiDAR geospatial datasets for use by City/County/State agencies, other levels of government, academia, and the general public, and to provide these datasets for inclusion to OGRIP. OGRIP is a State of Ohio resource for geographic information technology users.</purpose>

<procdesc>The Leica ADS80-SH81/82 Airborne Digital Sensor is a push-broom geometry sensor, collecting 12-bit data with 12,000 pixel swath coverage with up to a 5-centimeter spatial resolution. The sensor is capable of collecting multiple spectral bands and angles simultaneously. Leicas ADS80 collects seven bands of imagery simultaneously: three panchromatic CCD lines capture information in the forward, nadir and backward views from the aircraft, while four multispectral lines capture data in the red, green, blue, and near color infrared band. The imagery for this task order was acquired using the Leica ADS80-SH81/82 multispectral scanner. The ADS80-SH81/82 utilizes the Leicas IPAS20 direct positioning and orientation system that is based on airborne GPS and inertial measurement unit (IMU) technology. The IPAS20 data were reduced using Leicas Explorer 8.5 software package. All of the source imagery was processed using the Leica XPRO (V6.3) software package. This package provides the capability to perform digital image processing, aerial triangulation, and image rectification. The strips of imagery were ortho rectified to newly collected LiDAR digtial elevation model (DEM) data. The individual rectified strips of ortho rectified imagery were then mosaicked together to form a seamless imagery database over the entire task order area using the OrthoVista software by Inpho GmbH. The final digital orthophoto imagery (DOI) were extracted using OrthoVista.</procdesc>
